Whether you’re interested in learning to fly, meeting other local flying enthusiasts, building your flight hours, or simply experiencing new flying adventures, the Waukesha County Airport has the recreational aviation services to meet your needs. These services include discovery flights, flight training, aircraft acquisition, aircraft and hangar acquisition and rental and more.
We offer a vibrant flying community, with tenants who own nearly 200 single engine aircraft, including a host of Cessna, Beechcraft, Cirrus and other contemporary airplanes, plus numerous restored antique classics and Warbirds from World War II, helicopters, float planes and a glider. Each of these owners makes the aviation lifestyle their own by choosing to fly family to vacation spots, getting together with fellow pilots and flying out for a weekend event together, or joining on one of our many aviation enthusiast groups to raise funds for charity and enjoy the camaraderie that comes with a shared passion for flying. Check out our Inside Crites Field section to learn more about groups you can join, ways you can volunteer, where to buy an airplane, or just join the conversation with other pilots on various social media platforms. We also encourage you to access our Contact Us page to find flight training and other services that will allow you to join the fun at The Waukesha County Airport.
The airport is an easy five minutes from Interstate-94, linking Waukesha to metro-Milwaukee (east) and Madison (west), and is the gateway to exceptional year round recreation. Whether it’s biking, fishing, hiking, or snowmobiling in neighboring state forests, swimming and sailing in a dozen nearby crystal clear lakes, 18 holes of golf at several area championship courses, upscale shopping or searching scenic back roads for antique shops, the Waukesha County Airport is an ideal place to fly in for a weekend and enjoy all that the area has to offer.
